(PH10)Development of Active Worktable Composed of Spatial Parallel Manipulator

 Parallel manipulators are expetced to generate high power at high speed with adequate accuracy and are therefore tried to apply to machine tool. A new three-dimensional machine tool in which a workpiece is attached on a moving platform of a Stewart Platform Manipulator and is pressed against a rotating cutter on a conventional drilling machine was developed. Machining experiments were carried out and Error calibration method was developed.
