(PS8)Structural Optimization of Axisymmetric Structures to Minimize Noise Power

In order to decrease noises radiating from axisymmetric structures by adding ribs and rands on the structures, the structural optimization with the summation of modal sound powers as an objective function was carried out. It was confirmed that a round rand at exciting point was the most effective to reduce sound power radiating from a thick hemisphere as a model of a part of transmission case of a car.
