In order to theoretically evaluate the effect to reduce vibration of thin plate structures by adding non-constraint type dampers made of viscoelastic materials, a new analytical model that the plate attached dampers was assumed as a simple plate with properties different at positions, so that the modal analysis could be easily analyzed. For an example, a cantilever rectangular plate was analyzed and experimentally examined by measuring sound radiation power.
