(S3)Design of Vibration Modes with Localized Vibration Amplitude

Aiming to suppress vaibration propergation, a vibration structure in wich vibration amplitude is localized is theoretically designed. Fo an example, beams with a constant coress-section and multiple foldings are dealt with. Wave vectors are defined at foldings and then lengths of straight segments and foling angles are optimized to obtain vibration modes with localized amplitude at the specified natuiral frequencies. We could design a rectangular cross-section beam with four foldings, which has different vibration modes with differently localized amplitude at different natural frequencies.
