Design contest for advanced mechatronics systems
Aiming to stimulate the desire for learning, the intellectual curiosity and the mind of making of senior students who have just belonged to our laboratory and to achieve the step-up to theire research in near future, we together with some universities have held 'Design contest for advanced mechatronics systems' every year.
A team composed of a few senior students and the first and second grade master course students designs and builds an original mechatronics system whch can achieve the subject given by professors, and attends the contest. Gorgeous prizes will be presented to the team of an excellent result. A social gathering party is held after the contest to cultivate friendship with students in different universities.
In the first contest in 2001, three teams of our lab. suffered disastrous defeats. However in the second contest in 2002, two teams of our lab. won the victory and the second place, and recaptured the trophy, Iwao Hayashi Cup. In the 3rd contest in 2003, we lost again. And during 2004 - 2006, we achieved 3rd straight victory. In 2007, we lost. In 2008, we got the 1st and the 3rd prizes. In 2009, we lost. If you need more informations, please see below:
